Privacy
This is a plain-language description of what Proempt actually does with your data today, written by the person building it, not a lawyer. It hasn't had formal legal review. If something here seems unclear or wrong, get in touch.
What we collect
- Your email address, to sign you in via a passwordless magic link (Supabase Auth). We never see or store a password. There isn't one.
- The username (and, if you set one, display name) you choose.
- What you post: writing responses, comments, and any photos you upload.
- Whether each post is public or private, and who liked or commented on what.
- If you use the contact form: the email address and message you enter there. You don't need an account to use it.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data, and we don't run third-party advertising or tracking scripts on this site.
- We don't use any analytics tooling right now, so beyond what's described below, we don't collect behavioral or usage data about you.
Who else sees it
Running this app means a few outside services handle pieces of it on our behalf:
- Supabase: hosts our database, handles sign-in, and stores uploaded photos.
- OpenAI: automatically screens post, comment, and username text (and any attached photo) for content that violates our guidelines before it's published. This happens for every submission, not just ones that get flagged.
- Anthropic: occasionally drafts candidate daily prompts (never published without a human reviewing it first). It only ever sees past prompt titles, never anything you've written or uploaded.
- Resend: delivers the notification email when you submit the contact form. It sees the email address and message you enter there, nothing else.
- Vercel: hosts the app itself. Like any web host, it and Supabase generally log standard technical information (like IP address and request timestamps) as part of normal operation.
Each of these processes what we send them under their own privacy policies. We don't control their internal data handling beyond what we send and when.
Public vs. private content
A post you mark public, including any photo, is visible to anyone who visits the site, along with your username. A private post is visible only to you; we mint a fresh, time-limited link for its photo (if any) each time it's viewed, specifically so it can't be reached through an old saved link after the fact.
Your control over your data
You can edit or delete your own posts and comments at any time, and flip a post between public and private whenever you like. There's no self-service way to delete your whole account yet: get in touch and we'll take care of it by hand.
Cookies
We use one functional cookie, set by Supabase, to keep you signed in. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Age
This app isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under that age.
Changes
We may update this page as the app changes. Meaningful changes will be reflected here with a new date below.
